I happened to attend AOL (aka) Art of Living course two weeks back at work place.My employer had arranged for it in weekdays 5pm to 7pm. The project i was working on was in Design/Documentation phase,so i had time to take up.There was no special reason to take it up.My friend was interested to try it out,he needed company,so he called me.Also one of my previous managers had taken up this course last time around.He was one of those managers who was vibrant always with high energy levels.Also i suffered two heartbreaks in june,so I decided to take it up.

I entered the hall where it was suppose to happen.Except for my friend others were unknown.It was just a batch of mid 20s. Most of them were red tags(in my employer's terms those who work for this organization for five years get a red tag,>10 years green tag, 1-5 years blue tag).I happened even to see a General Manager of a vertical.What struck me first was the age.I wondered whether i should have taken up this course after 5 years since most the ppl were above 28+ or 30+.I was also in the software engineer hierarchy,rest of them were in Project managers,Business consultant,Pre-sales consultant,etc etc.

The course work was structured in a proper way.One of the gains must be mild yoga,sudharana kriya and pranayama.Another huge gain was meditation.My grand ma used to sit in pooja room for half an hour and do meditation at night.She used to tell me to take up meditation seriously. But i could never close my eyes for more than few mins,may be i was impatient then. Now its a diff story i must say. The course covered two types of meditation.

1) Guided Meditation.
2) Non Guided Meditation.

Guided meditation where in you tell yourself what you have to think about,some examples would be TIME TRAVEL wherein you imagine as a kid in your mom's hand,5 years..10 years (something similar to Anniyan) another is EXPANSION wherein you imagine urself to be sky mountains etc..

Non Guided meditation is more challenging and i like this form more.You have to close you eyes and not force your mind with pre meditated thoughts.You must let all your thoughts flow may be some with hope,worries, fear everything.All you need to do is pay attention to each of those thoughts ,once you pay attention to a thought it vanishes and next one comes up after few mind your mind would go blank and thats what meditation is all about.

Its two weeks of trying meditation and mild yoga.So far very good i would say.That course also had some team building games.One was a retreat dance,another was "Tell your life story in 10 mins to three other ppl".It was interesting to tell your story to others and also listen other's story.One thing is everyone has gone through some challenging moments to be today in this position.On the final day,everyone had to bring their own food and in the end the instructor made it as buffet for everyone.

One of my team mates happened to ask me,
"Dont you know what is good for you?"
"Can't you breathe yourself?"
"Who are those ppl to tell you?"

If you think you know a lot may be this kinda course work wouldn't help you.
But if you have an open mind and you want to try out meditation and mild yoga only (for yourself) then you can give it a try.

One thing for sure is instead of spending time in gym in work outs,this kinda mild yoga and meditation would do a lot of good in my opinion.

Its more than 3.5 years of spending time in orkut.
Of late i am observing a pattern among our own friends who are in orkut.This behavioral pattern at times amuses me to a great extent.Let me share some of the inputs given to me by my friends.Of late few of our friends started to change their display names like She1 I am thinking ...She1 Exams are tough .... He1 Life is boring. What amuses me is the fact they change it far too often. There was a case when one of my friend changed his name to a caption "Life is a journey",his profile was blank,his display pic was some scenery.Purpose of photo is to identify oneself easily,i still dont understand why ppl put Surya's pic or Trisha's pic in their profile.It was his bday then,i just scrapped him "Happy bday" with out even knowing who he was at that moment.

Then comes our friends who work onsite.95% of onsite guys are more active in orkut than offshore guys . Probably they are so lonely they scrap more often when they are onsite ,they would never have cared to scrap when they worked offshore.For sure you can expect to see beautiful locales of the state / country they are at the moment in their albums.

Finally comes beloved committed/engaged/new weds friends.I dont know who started this funda of putting marriage/engagement snaps in orkut album.Its understandable that those who missed out or those who are in abroad can check out their albums to find who the guy/gal is.Its a general notion marriages are special and those moments can be shared among friends. These snaps are fine but of late ppl started to share honeymoon snaps as well in the their album.I really dont know where this is going to end. Then comes our committed/married friends with one profile ie Husband and Wife together own a profile ie that profile has all husband's friends and all wife's friends.I never liked that idea at all.

One on hand orkut is for friends,on the other hand, there are the anonymous profiles.Its very hard to imagine what their motive is in seeking FRAANSHIP with such profiles.Any half headed person would never accept such fake profiles. Weekends,having a STB,you are blessed to watch a wide variety of sports. From F1,Tennis,Cricket and Soccer.I always had interest in watching football since my school days.But i never followed any team or supported a particular team as my friends used to do. May be from last year, January,i somehow schedule my weekends so that i watch chelsea matches esp if they play against good sides.I liked their former Manager Jose Mourinho. He was a rude/arrogant manager thats what many pundits claim but he was always a PRIMA DONNA of Chelsea Football Club.He built a team which dint have many stars but he made stars out of Drogba. He probably built a style and even after he left many members of the side wanted to leave Stamford Bridge. He fell out with his Russian Boss and finally he quit beginning of this season not before he won 6 trophies in 3 years when his Israeli Assistant coach,AVRAM GRANT took over chelsea. I was reading through one of the blogs,i found this johari window.

Then i refreshed my memories infact even i created one for myself almost a year back.
One of the few things that facinates me in life is Metrics. I just love those metrics. infact in my undergrads one of my fav papers was software engineering. that paper dealt with lot of metrics which we use in project management.

Nways i have been deducing metrics from johari window.

Infact i myself coulnt understand how ppl have choosen the certain attributes which i honestly thought dint match me.I wonder whether i have them but then its their perception.

Hence to get the metrics correct,i sent this to ppl whom i like,whom i meet recently after joining work and to those who have been with me or rather know me for more than 6 yeaars since college.Interesting those ppl had marked similar attributes.

I cant accept the fact so many ppl have choosen the attribute sentimental.
I am not a sentimental guy at all.

Nways this metrics as made me even more confused.
But one thing i could infer for sure is i am not the same for everyone.

The world has always got it right when it comes to Oscars. Yes! the same game in the name of fame. So, when was the last time you saw a great movie and thought,"God! how would it have been if this film had got the oscars for best direction?" And if you find the film was given oscar in the same category, wouldn't you have been delighted? Well, the last time you must have probably experienced this should have been sometime which is not in history, which is the complexly put form of saying, "It has never occured."

It didn't occur to me either until today, when I saw this movie PULP FICTION.

The story had got an academy award for best realistic screenplay, "thousands of blistering barnacles!"(from TINTIN. I have started to read that also) Wikipedia proved that this event is into history.

You shouldn't watch this movie if you don't have the flair for experiencing a total shit emanating out of nowhere, but with great fragnance at the end, once you have gone through the ordeal of fearing for the bad smell. I would rate this movie into that category.

This director has also directed the movie Reservoir dogs. I was said this movie was pathetic, but I believe people who said so, would have closed their noses and dared not to experience the reality as in the previous paragraph.

Thats the famous number from ENIGMA. That suits well for our lives when we think, we have lost our carefree attitude once and for all, only to get it back from sources we would have never dreamed of.

This happened a couple of days back in the same spot where I was the subject of ridicule for you people .

This time it was a small boy aged around 6-7 clad in the uniform of my alma mater(annai velankanni primary school). He called me Anna! to my surprise and I stopped. He told, if he can accompany me till my street end. I asked him why? He told, he has this so-called bad relationship with a doggy in my street. I could only smile at his innocence and promised that I will leave him in his house if he wanted. He shot back immediately, "My mom will scold if I take strangers near my house." I told okay, only feeling happy for his naivety. What else can I do?

While crossing my street, as if I had tamed dogs and grown with them, I tried to teach him THE DOG ESCAPE.

our conversation grew as follows, and he shot back for almost everything I told.
me: Whenever you get to see a dog, you should not panic.
he: What if the dog is to my back?
me: When the dog is to your back, you will not panic as you don't know it is to your back.
he: (finding the logic difficult to understand)do you have dogs in your house?

he: ok anna(for the second time) I know this is your house, I am leaving.

me: Oh! you know my house?

he: yes, actually I have come to your house with my mom once. Your mom bought some TUPPERWARE tiffin boxes from my mom.

This a very famous picture many of us would have seen it .
This is the text that is printed under the picture :

The PHOTO is the "Pulitzer prize" winning photo taken in 1994 during the Sudan famine. The picture depicts a famine stricken child crawling towards an United Nations food camp, located a kilometer away.

>The vulture is waiting for the child to die so that it can eat it. This picture shocked the whole world. No one knows what happened to the child, including the photographer Kevin Carter who left the place as soon as the photograph was taken.

>Three months later he committed suicide due to depression.

This picture was taken during the Sudan famine 1994 . When i first saw the picture i felt a lot i was disturbed by it and i searched a lot to know what happened to this kid and the whole story behind this and finally got the information that i wanted . The story behind it is not that sad though . Although you cant actually see it there was a lot of people about. the picutre was taken at an UN food drop and the area was full of people. There was more than one photographer there as well. One of the other photographers, Greg Marinovich, said later that lots of mothers left their children like that to go to the trucks to get the food. You cant carry the child and the food. the child was more than likely fine and was soon reunited with its mother. The photo did do wonders though for the worlds attention on the famine. And about the photographer Kevin karter he was already suffering from clinical depression and was very much a drug addict, taking Mandrax and LSD and all kinds of other hallucinogens. The exposure from the picture made it worse as he was asked everywhere what he did to help the child and what happened to the child. Where he should not in fact have felt any guilt, it did probably start eating at him and all of this culminated in his suicide (he gassed himself in the car). All of this and more can be read in the book Bang-Bang Club written by Greg Marinovich and another photographer.

All other pictures we took in color only as i was with my family i couldn't take many pictures because my mom keeps on yelling at me to stop playing with the camera and take family pictures rather than taking pictures like this he he. heaven in earth - Queen of hill stations

This is a Hill station in south india it s called OOTy . Its also called the Queen of hill stations . Its one of the places where you feel god has the most creative mind in the world . Ooty still woos people from all over India as well as foreign countries right through summer, and sometimes in the winter months too. An added attraction for the tourists to Udagamandalam is the mountain train journey on a ratchet and pinion track which commences from Kallar, near Mettupalayam and wends its way through many hair-raising curves and fearful tunnels and chugs along beside deep ravines full of verdant vegetation, gurgling streams and tea gardens.The scenery, as it unfolds during the trip, is breathtaking, awe-inspiring and fantastic but at the same time i was very very very scared ha ha you see down and you may puke sometimes. One can notice a marvellous change in vegetation, as one goes from Kallar to Coonoor it will be fully green where ever you see. Near Coonoor, it is humid with pines, blue gum (Eucalyptus globulus) and cypress trees. As we go from Ooty to Gudalur, the change in vegetation is striking. What a splendid interaction between climate and vegetation ! It is therefore very appropriate that Mount Stuart called the whole road leading to Ooty from Mettupalayam, "One long botanical debauch." Well there is a great story behind this picture . Me and my friends we all went to a hill station some days ago . We all stayed in a hotel it was a great place to be with . But the hotel we stayed was like a small hut which had all the things that is needed for 10 guys to stay . But the house was really spooky the other houses were very far from us . Behind our house it was a valley and if we fall there then thats the end of ours but it'll really be a adventurous journey ha ha . One night we all went out and came late to our hut . And it was past 1 am and one of my friends he tried to open the door but to all of our fright the door was open . So we thought that some robber is staying inside so we all planned to stay outside and capture him when he gets out . We even laid great plans you know we see a lot of movies and so like to do many heroic things but it ends up funny ha ha . But for this we had a great plan since we were 10 of them we planned to cover the whole of the house around it and i was the one with a camera in my left hand and a log of wood in my right hand and i was made to stay behind the back of the house . We even heard sound coming inside the house . So we took our positions and waited for nearly half an hour and no one came out of the door and i got so bored that i took this photo he he .
And the climax was very worst for us we nearly waited one hour and we found only a cat inside the house it was playing . My friend he forgot to lock the hut when we all left and this caused all these funny master planning robber capturing plan fail ha ha .

This road its not a big national highway or international highway . But its one of the most memorable road in my whole life . Throughout my life i would be having the sweet memories of this part of my life .
This is the road that joined me from the outside world to the world of my college life .

This is my college road i have been using this road for nearly 4 years now . I have walked alone here only when i was alone sent out of the class . We have even climbed the wall and jumped outside when i was in the first year ha ha its all fun to think about it now . All the other times i will be walking here with my friends . Every morning when going into the college yeah of course late only ha ha and evening we all go like we 10 of our friends we tease each other and keep walking laughing playing sometimes running . It has trees on the both sides its very shady so green so natural so refreshing so lovely . We have took lots n lots of photos here in this road . Night time in this road is very very scary it will be totally dark except the light of the moon and you know how it will be walking in a road with moon light hearing the hustle of the leaves and noise of animals shouting woo its creepy isn't it ha ha. All the days from the first day of my college and till today i remember everything every sweet lovely things that i have had here . Now there are only a few days of college we will have then it will be over soon . And i will be seriously missing this all so much .

A boy had a very cute friend (GIRL) .They both loved each other,but girl wanted that boy should ask her first. That boy gave her a teddy everyday.She used to keep it safely,nearly 3 months passed on.now girl was frusted thinking y this guy just gifts me teddy everyday but he never discloses his feelings to me.Next day when boy gifted her new teddy she threw it on road and ran away. boy now was very hurt,he too ran behind her but she didn even turned back,so he was about to get teddy from road and he met with an accident and died. Girl on turning saw her friend she was shocked.She ran home got teddies from cupboard and hugged it tightly and she heard "I LOVE YOU DEAR".

ecr (east coast road) - Night outs .. !!!

This is how the sun sets in the beaches along the ecr he he.

We went to ecr yesterday with my friends . We all planned to booze there in the beach .
This is the only picture that i took yesterday because we all were busy drinking after that ha ha one of my favorite pictures ^__^ .

We had a great night we sat in the sand of the beach and started drinking at around 10 30 pm and we were drinking till 1 30 am . You know its a great place to booze there was no moon also it was so dark . So quiet only the beautiful music of the waves the scent of the beach and the booze wow there are something that money cant buy yeah i accept with the master card ha ha . Its a private beach so there wont be any other outsiders so we enjoyed there we played in the sea running around here and there . We were talking all stories about every matter in the world . We even planned to build our own house there and have parties there like in the american pie movies he he these are after effects of boozing and many other things happened that cant be revealed here he he .. !! . This place is one of the best places here there are many pubs discotheques and all here . But we always do all those in the room we have near the beach in the ECR . Me and my friends had a great night and many more to come in future he he we did like this last sunday night too .

Some people are like candle they shine for others like Mother Teresa . She lived for others . Not everybody can be like her but just helping a few people who needs all the basic neccesities for leading a life is a great thing . Try visiting any orphanage once it will make you feel what life is all about . You can get to know how lucky you are to be born with something whereas there is nothing in orphanages . Enlighten others with your caring heart , your helping mind and you will know what true happiness is .. Help others enlight the darkness in the lives of others.

Well what to write about moon i did study about it . When i was kid my grandma used to spoon feed me showing the moon . I thought it as a torch light when i was a kid . And now one of my friends got drunk and told moon as a torch light i was so happy i found that we become like kids some times when we get drunk too much ha ha .

Reaching for the sky . Sky is the limit for my aims and dreams .To tell the truth we bunked the college half a day . IT was around 2 pm after noon and we were roaming in our bikes to one of my friends house .
It was very hot and so i was covering the suns hot rays from my face ha ha . But it rained after about one hour it was great the climate became cool again but came back home wet .

Actually in my blog i thought of only showing my black and white photos but this picture the sky is so great so i wanted to be in color . I love blue color and my shirt also blue ha ha its one of my favorite shot i thank my friend dini for my photo . And sorry its not my guitar its my friends dini's sister guitar just sneaked into his house and took photos without his sister noticing but when we came back from the terrace she caught us the thing happened after getting caught cant be revealed(secret) . I don't play it also just holding it to give a great pose ha ha . . . I like only hearing music and singing and getting beatings from my friends after they hear me singing ha ha .

Thats me getting splashed with water as thought i am a car given for water wash ha ha . My friends surrounded me and let me take a cool bath that day in the rivers . This was another great day .I am not laughing in this picture I was actually praying that i should not fall because i don't know swimming properly . So i should find a lover( GIRL ) who is a good swimmer but if she is naughty she will push me into water and laugh at me oh my god i cant think more ha ha .
its a great river isn't it . My friend didn't take the picture clear but that doesn't bother as this simple picture is enough for me to keep the memories alive till the very end .

Its me at the beach . Yesterday we went there to the best places in chennai where many movie are shot . Its bessy beach and this is at the broken bridge there . Went in the evening and got an awesome scenes there the sun going to take its another shift of looking at the other side of the world . I was thinking about life . What i have done till now but i haven't done that much to be thought so started thinking of what to do next . But this also i don't know clearly what i am going to do next . Anyway for the moment i love to have fun and thats what we did yesterday . It was my closest friend rizwans birthday and we went there to celebrate but i forgot to wish him the morning sorry machiiiii ... I wish him long life full of happiness and i will always be with him till the end thats for sure . We have had lots of best moments in our lives together and will still have more god bless you da ... this is for you RIzwann ....... love you ...ps i am straight

Took it long back in the beaches around ecr road . Think the beach name was copper beach .
It was a lovely beach not many people come there but we went in 4 bikes with friends . Its really an awesome beach you should go with your girl friend lover or anyone whom you like to share your life with . I have went to lots of beaches but this remains one of very special beach . Think a beach with such a lovely waters and the beach itself is lonely without people wow . It was so silent only the sounds of the waves some birds and wind . nice place huh its in Chennai India. .We saw this tracks of a jeep it was nice and i captured it . It was a little rainy but lucky the tracks remained .

Playing in the the cold river its rajesh rizwan and me . This river is actually in a forest that is prohibited from tourist but we went there .First we were all scared to get into the river as it was flowing fast but we couldn't control ourselves from enjoying in it . Once you left a opportunity like this it is very difficult to get it back . Neither of us know swimming but like Mr. Vadivel told (He is a great south Indian scholar) . whatever we do we have to plan and do . And so we followed his words went there with great fright but came out fully wet but it was a great time. The waters were so enchanting they look like pearls and diamonds thrown out in the sunlight . Wow looks so splendid . God is really great . Another snap .

Took this picture about 4 years ago near my old house i kept the photo safely this was one of the photos that i clicked when i started to fall in love with photography that too black and white . The whole place is full of trees but this branch of leaves were all alone very hungry looking at the sky it had no contact with its family and the neighboring trees . And so i was attracted towards it and made it look beautiful i think so ha ha . Its amateurish photo but since it was one of my first photo i clicked i love it a lot . This guy he was pushing the boat with 8 peoples including me . We went to cochin in Kerela and there we went to some islands and the travel is so great in the river its very adventurous for every one and it was very adventurous for me because i don't know swimming .One great character in me is that i never show the fright inside me on my face ha ha . This guy we gave only very little money but the work he did it deserves more he took and returned us so safely . I felt what hard work really is from him . He took us to nearly 10 islands in that back waters .
There were one family from Israel Mr. Richard and his wife n daughter . He was a great guy very humorous funny bearded guy .

Has tried to enter 23 shops to steal bun in one day . Great rowdi area mass gets beating from everyone around his area . He has helped me lot of times when i was starving in hunger has gave me more than 5 buns one day . i thank god for the bun and my don friend rajesh ...

Flying in the sky

It was about 1 30 on a burning hot afternoon . We went to a amusement park here called mgm with whole class we had lots of fun there . Took this picture there one of the rides which make you itself to spin and then after the ride is over also you will be spinning for some time its after effects of this .This happy spinning dizzy nausea including amusement park ride i liked it very much that i kept on staring and so didn't go for the ride ha ha . i heard a small boy beside me shouting ' mom mom lets go this ride its so cooool ' i thought that kid was great to tell this ride was cool . And so i decided to go for the ride but i was not sure that i would come back so i wanted to take a picture of this before i went . And so this picture was took so fine . And luckily i came back after the ride ha ha it was a great enjoyment there with all my friends .

Took this picture in the river it was a cool place great blue waters wonderful green grass and so lovely sky the day was great and the photo came perfectly we took it in the evening .We always keep going to many places with our friends and this place was just one of the best places of natural beauty . The place was so silent astonishing beautiful it was really so poetic there i am sure everyone will like that place .And as we and my friends were wondering there chatting making funny comments like we do every second we saw there was a handsome boy in age 20 he was sitting there for a long time holding a stick in his hand i think he was thinking about the girl he loved i wish he gets her and make a happy living as he has given me a great picture he he . And so we went and took a picture it came well and that guy saw us we even saw he had some small bottle in his hands . after seeing us that guy ran he dropped the stick and the small bottle he had. And we went and saw the bottle had the label Benzodiazepines its a poison that guy as tried to suicide and we saved him ha ha . then We just played in the river took many other pictures of us and left is was great day .

Oh gosh that day i thought i would fly like a bird feel the breeze feel the independence of death .
But my friend rizi he saved me . 15 seconds before this i was looking below for taking a scenic picture of one of gods best places some places in earth are like heaven and this is just one perfect place . And so as i was looking below i slipped and the camera in my hand would have fell so to hold it i went down and so i was in this kind of situation where my life was hanging like a pendulum lucky there was no one to make me oscillate lol . And after few seconds my friend rizwan saw me like he was watching a monkey hanging to its tree playing . But thought he came there smiling before me and asked ' mama what happened why are u playing here ? ' even the worst comedian wouldn't have asked like it but my rizi does it always . And so i told him ' help me ' and he gave his hand and was holding me and called for another friend i thought he is calling for help but what he asked the other guy was ' hey take a photo da like me saving him ' . I couldn't talk anything to him as my life was in his hand i just smirked and he lifted me . End of my emotional adventurous funny story .

GruDge house - coorg

This is our guest house in the hill station Coorg .
We went a trip there in December with 10 of my friends it was such a exciting place we enjoyed a lot . We stayed there for 10 days exploring the whole place it had such exotic locations so many romantic places . I thought i should bring my lover here and propose her here tell her my love . First two days here was so nice we roamed all the day and came here only night at 10 it was very cold so we got drunk everyday . We always take a lot of photos where ever we go we had 6 digital cameras . third day we took one photo in one of the bed rooms the image was not so clear in the camera there was white shades behind us . And fourth night you would not believe me we heard some creepy noise like the one in Grudge . We found that this house was haunted every night sharply 1 20 am we use to hear creepy noise . since we were in a group we did not show the fright but the main reason was we 8 of us got drunk every night . But we too had the fear growing inside us we had so lovely ghost dreams ' the ghost came took my friend i went and fought with it like Bruce lee and saved him and got medal of honor from Gods own hand ' yeah my childhood dreams lol . And the last day we found out that one of guys only were playing with us by playing the tones in phone the grudge sounds as we were drunk we couldn't find it easily . But any way the trip was such a great experience and funny with the grudge lol . Moral : DO not drink lol .
